About Choof
About 5 years ago I spent over six months searching for the best possible broodbitch to breed to Token Prince with the objective of establishing a formidable female for future world-class breeding. I strongly believed Token Prince was a potential supersire back then and he has since well and truly proven to be so. No Australian sire in recent memory has produced Group 1 winners (both male and female) over sprint and distance journeys or track recordbreakers over all distances like he has. His daughters are also now proving their ability to pass on those attributes.

Research led me to identify Black Jackal as the best female to suit my objective. Specifically she was a daughter of the phenominal producer Wee Sal by Captain Standby, an incredibly fast son of Irish import Grove Whisper. Grove Whisper daughters have proven to be fantastic producers in Australia, as have daughters of his son Captain Standby when put back to the best Australian sires. Both Wee Sal and Captain Standby's dam Bay City Roller are daughters of one of Australia's truly great sires Chariot Supreme. Bay City Roller's dam Bay Road Queen was the staying star of her generation and her damline ranks along with that of Wee Sal as the best damlines in Australia today.

I subsequently purchased Black Jackal and bred her to Token Prince. Black Jackal's previous owner got Teared Sal (Choof) as part of the deal. She also apparently broke in very well but subsequently suffered a badly broken leg when she escaped her property and was hit by a car. I then negotiated with her owner to purchase her back for breeding purposes.

As can be seen from the above pedigree the mating of Token Prince and Black Jackal produces a 4x4 cross to Bay Road Queen.

Teared Sal was ideally suited to breed to Just the Best as can be seen from the Greyhound-Data testmating - Click Here.

It produces an incredible triple cross to Bay Road Queen through her 3 best producing daughters…….. each from different sires Tangairn, Waverly Supreme and Chariot Supreme. This is very aggressive breeding hence the need for sireline diversity to help balance the bloodlines and maintain hybrid vigour. Teared Sal has that through her sire Token Prince (from the Waverly Supreme line) and damsire Captain Standby (from the Grove Whisper/Sand Man sireline).

This Bay Road Queen triple cross has never previously been done.  Outstanding progeny with partial combinations of Bay Road Queen and/or the Wee Sal line include Bogie Leigh, Big Daddy Cool, Laurie Banner, Another Whisky, Convincingly Lee, Andy Palmer, Jaylo Blush, From a Distance and Buckingham Chuck.
